To distinguish between the different tones of white, light bulbs are labeled with CCT or correlated color temperature. This is measured in Kelvin (K) and there are 3 primary types. The higher the Kelvin, the "whiter" the light will be.
Which color temperature should I pick?
WARM WHITE
2500-3000K
Soft yellow white light to create a cosy and relaxing environment. Normally used at home (in bedrooms, living or dining rooms), restaurants, bars, hotels, spas.
COOL WHITE
3100-4500K
Fresh, bright and energetic light, emitting a more neutral white. Commonly used in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, retail stores, offices.
DAY WHITE
5000-6500K
Similar to natural light, tending to blue white. Ideal for work spaces, garages, display areas, schools, factories, warehouses, supermarkets.
